| Dovetail with Extension Block |

The Dovetail with Extension Block is when the
plastic part being
stamped has raised areas either below or above the areas where the die
is being stamped.
Extension Blocks are also used when using a large heater head to stamp a
small part.
The Extension Block keeps the operators hands away from the heater head
reducing the possibility of burning.
The Block is usually close to the same size as the die.
